Illegal Content, Copyright & Trademark Reporting Policy

1. Reporting Mechanism
Typen's official electronic mechanism for reporting allegedly illegal hosted content is:
The form may be provided using Tally or another electronic form provider.
2. What to Report
The form is intended for allegedly illegal content, including potential:
- copyright infringement;
- trademark infringement;
- phishing;
- fraud;
- unlawful threats;
- unlawful privacy violations;
- unlawful files;
- other illegal material.
It is not intended merely for content that someone dislikes or disagrees with.
3. Exact URL
Reports should include the exact location of the content.
Examples:
https://example.typen.blog/post/example
or
https://media.typen.blog/...
4. Explanation
Explain why you believe the content is illegal.
Include enough information for us to reasonably understand the allegation.
Where useful, identify the relevant legal right or rule.
5. Contact Information
The reporting form may request:
- name;
- email address;
- relationship to the affected party.
Legal exceptions may apply in circumstances where notifier identity does not need to be provided.
6. Good-Faith Confirmation
Reporters may be required to confirm that they genuinely believe the information and allegations submitted are accurate and complete.
7. Evidence
Relevant supporting material may include:
- screenshots;
- copyright ownership evidence;
- trademark registrations;
- authorization documents;
- court orders;
- other evidence.
Do not submit unrelated sensitive personal information.
8. Confirmation
Where electronic contact information is provided, we will send confirmation that the report was received without undue delay.
This confirmation may be automated.
9. Review
Reports are reviewed in a timely, diligent, objective, and non-arbitrary way.
Submitting a report does not automatically cause content to be removed.
We may:
- review the submitted information;
- inspect the relevant content;
- request clarification;
- contact the user;
- consider applicable law;
- reject clearly unsupported reports.
10. Decisions
Possible outcomes include:
- no action;
- requesting more information;
- asking the user to make changes;
- restricting content;
- disabling access;
- deleting content;
- restricting a blog;
- suspending an account;
- terminating an account.
Where required, the reporter will be informed of the decision.
11. Notice to Affected Users
Where we restrict content because it is allegedly illegal or violates our policies, we will provide an explanation where required.
This may identify:
- the affected content;
- the restriction;
- duration of the restriction where applicable;
- relevant facts;
- whether a report initiated the review;
- whether automated systems contributed;
- legal or policy grounds;
- available appeal options.
Information may be withheld where disclosure itself would violate law or create serious security or safety risks.
12. Copyright Complaints
A copyright complaint should identify:
- the protected work;
- the allegedly infringing content;
- the exact URL;
- the reporter's relationship to the rights holder;
- why the use is believed to be unauthorized;
- contact information.
We may request additional evidence.
13. Trademark Complaints
A trademark complaint should identify:
- the trademark;
- relevant registrations or rights;
- the allegedly infringing content;
- exact URLs or subdomains;
- why the use is believed to be unlawful;
- relevant supporting information.
Owning a trademark does not automatically provide ownership of every matching typen.blog subdomain.
We may consider:
- confusion;
- impersonation;
- parody;
- criticism;
- geographic rights;
- actual usage;
- applicable trademark law.
14. Subdomain Disputes
If multiple parties dispute a subdomain, Typen may:
- contact the parties;
- request evidence;
- encourage direct resolution;
- temporarily restrict or reserve the subdomain;
- comply with a binding legal decision;
- rename the subdomain where justified.
Typen is not a court or trademark arbitration service.
15. False Reports
Do not knowingly submit false or fraudulent reports.
Repeated abuse of the reporting system may result in reasonable restrictions where legally permitted.
16. Emergency Situations
The reporting form is not an emergency service.
Where information indicates a serious legally reportable threat to life or safety, Typen may contact competent authorities where required.
