These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Typen. They are not legal advice. By creating an account, publishing a blog, subscribing to Pro, or otherwise using Typen, you agree to these Terms.
1. Introduction
Welcome to Typen, a modern blogging platform that helps people create, publish, and grow blogs.
Typen provides tools for publishing posts, managing blogs, using themes, inviting members, viewing analytics, and, on paid plans, using Cleo, an AI reading guide built into blog posts.
In these Terms:
- “Typen,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Typen and its operator, Soon....
- “Service” means the Typen website, platform, blog tools, publishing features, subscriptions, themes, analytics, Cleo, APIs, and related services.
- “You” means the person or organization using Typen.
- “Content” means posts, images, text, blog data, settings, domains, and other material you upload, create, publish, or manage through Typen.
- “Cleo” means Typen’s AI reading guide available with Pro.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required by law in your country, to use Typen.
If you use Typen on behalf of a company, organization, team, or other legal entity, you confirm that you have permission to accept these Terms for that entity.
You may not use Typen if you are legally prohibited from using the Service.
3. Accounts
You may need an account to create blogs, publish posts, manage members, subscribe to Pro, or access other features.
You are responsible for:
- keeping your account secure;
- using accurate account information;
- all activity under your account;
- making sure your team members follow these Terms;
- notifying us if your account is compromised.
You must not impersonate another person, create accounts using false information, or access another account without permission.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, harm Typen, harm other users, create security risks, or expose us to legal issues.
4. The Typen Service
Typen lets users create blogs and publish content through a clean, fast blogging platform.
Depending on your plan, Typen may include:
- a free
.typen.blogblog address; - Markdown-based publishing;
- unlimited posts;
- member management;
- blog themes;
- image uploads;
- custom domains;
- analytics;
- premium themes;
- removal of Typen branding;
- priority support;
- Cleo AI reading features;
- API or integration features.
Some features may be free. Others may require a paid subscription.
We may add, change, limit, rename, or remove features at any time.
5. Free Plan
Typen may offer a free plan for users who want to start publishing.
The Free plan may include:
- a free
.typen.blogblog address; - starter themes;
- member management;
- unlimited posts;
- basic analytics.
Cleo is not included with the Free plan unless we state otherwise.
Free plans may have limits, including limits on storage, traffic, customization, analytics, branding, API access, or other features.
6. Pro Plan
Typen Pro is a paid subscription for blogs that want better reading, branding, and growth tools.
Pro may include:
- everything in Free;
- Cleo AI reading guide;
- custom Cleo name, tone, personality, and image;
- monthly Cleo balance;
- optional extra Cleo balance top-ups;
- custom domains;
- premium themes;
- advanced analytics;
- removal of Typen branding;
- priority support.
Pro features may change over time. We may add, remove, rename, or adjust Pro features as the product develops.
7. Cleo AI Reading Guide
Cleo is an AI-powered reading guide built into Pro blogs.
Cleo may help visitors:
- understand long posts faster;
- follow guided reading tours;
- see highlighted important text;
- read explanations of key ideas;
- stay focused while reading;
- explore more of your content.
Cleo is designed to improve the reader experience inside blog posts. It is not a replacement for professional advice, legal advice, medical advice, financial advice, or your own editorial judgment.
Cleo may generate imperfect, incomplete, or inaccurate output. You are responsible for reviewing how Cleo is used on your blog and making sure your content remains lawful, accurate, and appropriate.
8. Custom Cleo
With Pro, you may be able to customize Cleo to match your blog or brand.
Custom Cleo settings may include:
- name;
- personality;
- tone;
- profile image or avatar;
- reading style;
- other branding settings.
You must not use Cleo customization to impersonate someone, mislead readers, infringe rights, or create harmful, illegal, or deceptive experiences.
We may remove or restrict custom Cleo settings that violate these Terms.
9. Cleo Usage and Balance
Pro includes a monthly Cleo usage balance.
Cleo usage may be consumed when readers interact with Cleo, when Cleo generates explanations, when guided reading features are used, or when other AI-powered features run.
If your monthly Cleo balance runs out, Cleo features may pause, become limited, or require an extra balance top-up.
Extra Cleo balance may be available for purchase. Unless stated otherwise, unused included monthly Cleo balance does not roll over to future billing periods.
We may adjust Cleo usage rules, included monthly balance, limits, and pricing from time to time.
10. Subscriptions and Payments
Typen Pro costs $9 USD per month unless another price is shown at checkout or in your account.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date.
Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider. We do not store your full card details. We may store payment-related identifiers, such as customer IDs, payment IDs, invoice IDs, and subscription IDs, so we can manage billing and subscriptions.
You are responsible for keeping your payment information valid and up to date.
If payment fails, we may suspend, limit, or remove Pro features until payment is completed.
11. Cancellations
You may cancel Pro through your dashboard or another supported cancellation method.
Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless stated otherwise, you may keep Pro features until the end of the current paid billing period.
After cancellation, your blog may lose access to Pro-only features, including Cleo, custom domains, premium themes, advanced analytics, Typen branding removal, and priority support.
12. Refunds
Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law.
We may choose to provide refunds at our discretion, but providing a refund once does not mean we are required to provide refunds in the future.
13. Blog Addresses and Custom Domains
Free blogs may use a .typen.blog address, such as:
yourblog.typen.blog
Typen owns and controls .typen.blog subdomains. We may rename, restrict, suspend, reclaim, or remove subdomains if they violate these Terms, infringe rights, create confusion, are inactive, or harm the Service.
Pro users may be able to connect custom domains. You are responsible for owning or having permission to use any custom domain connected to Typen.
You must not connect domains that are illegal, misleading, infringing, abusive, or used for spam, phishing, malware, or other harmful activity.
14. User Content
You retain ownership of the content you create and publish on Typen.
By using Typen, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, copy, display, transmit, distribute, and make your content available as needed to operate, provide, secure, promote, and improve the Service.
This license allows us to:
- publish your blog posts;
- display your images and text;
- serve your blog to visitors;
- generate previews and metadata;
- process content for analytics and search;
- support Cleo and other platform features;
- back up and secure the Service.
This license does not transfer ownership of your content to us.
15. Public Content
Blogs and posts published on Typen may be public.
Public content may include:
- blog posts;
- blog titles;
- author names;
- profile information;
- tags;
- images;
- metadata;
- public links;
- public email or contact information if displayed by your blog settings.
Do not publish private, confidential, sensitive, or personal information unless you have the right to publish it and are comfortable making it public.
16. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for your content and your use of Typen.
You confirm that:
- you own your content or have permission to use it;
- your content does not violate laws;
- your content does not infringe intellectual property rights;
- your content does not violate privacy or publicity rights;
- your content does not contain malware or harmful code;
- your blog complies with these Terms.
You are also responsible for backing up your important content.
17. Prohibited Content and Conduct
You must not use Typen to publish, upload, promote, or support content or activity that:
- is illegal;
- promotes illegal activity;
- infringes intellectual property rights;
- violates privacy or publicity rights;
- contains malware, viruses, phishing, scams, or harmful code;
- harasses, threatens, abuses, or targets others;
- promotes hate, violence, or exploitation;
- contains spam or deceptive promotional activity;
- impersonates others;
- misleads users;
- interferes with Typen’s systems;
- scrapes, overloads, reverse-engineers, or attacks the Service;
- attempts to bypass limits, billing, access controls, or security systems;
- violates applicable laws or regulations.
We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these rules.
18. APIs and Integrations
Typen may provide APIs, webhooks, integrations, or developer features.
If you use Typen APIs or integrations, you must:
- follow API documentation and limits;
- keep credentials secure;
- not abuse, overload, scrape, or disrupt the Service;
- not use APIs to copy, resell, or clone Typen;
- not bypass plan limits or billing rules;
- comply with these Terms and applicable laws.
We may limit, suspend, change, or remove API access at any time.
19. Analytics
Typen may provide analytics to help you understand your blog audience, traffic, content performance, and reader behavior.
Analytics may be basic on Free and more advanced on Pro.
Analytics data may be approximate, delayed, incomplete, or affected by privacy tools, blockers, technical limits, or filtering.
You must not use analytics in a way that violates privacy laws or user rights.
20. Themes and Branding
Typen may provide starter themes, premium themes, layout options, and branding tools.
Themes, design assets, templates, and platform UI provided by Typen remain owned by Typen or its licensors.
You may use Typen themes to operate your Typen blog, but you may not copy, resell, redistribute, extract, or use them outside the Service unless we give written permission.
Pro may allow removal of Typen branding. Free blogs may include Typen branding.
21. Member Management and Teams
Typen may allow you to invite members, collaborators, or team users to help manage a blog.
You are responsible for:
- inviting only trusted people;
- assigning appropriate permissions;
- removing access when no longer needed;
- activity performed by team members on your blog.
We are not responsible for disputes between blog owners, team members, collaborators, or organizations.
22. Content Moderation
We do not promise to monitor all content on Typen.
However, we may review, remove, restrict, or disable access to content or accounts if we believe it:
- violates these Terms;
- violates law;
- creates risk for Typen or others;
- harms the Service;
- infringes rights;
- is reported by users, authorities, or third parties.
We may cooperate with courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other authorities when legally required.
23. Account Deletion
You may delete your account through the supported account deletion flow.
Account deletion may permanently remove your blogs, posts, images, settings, analytics, member access, Cleo settings, and related data.
Deletion is intended to be irreversible. You should export or back up important content before deleting your account.
Some limited records may remain if required for legal, tax, billing, security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or compliance reasons.
24. Termination
You may stop using Typen at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Typen if:
- you violate these Terms;
- your use creates legal risk;
- your use creates security risk;
- your account is involved in abuse, fraud, or harmful conduct;
- payment fails;
- we are required to do so by law;
- continued access would harm Typen, users, or third parties.
If your account is terminated, your right to use the Service ends immediately.
25. Service Availability
We aim to keep Typen fast and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
We are not responsible for loss caused by downtime, maintenance, bugs, network issues, third-party services, or events outside our control.
26. Third-Party Services
Typen may use or integrate with third-party services, including:
- payment processors;
- authentication providers;
- hosting providers;
- analytics providers;
- email providers;
- domain or DNS services;
- AI infrastructure providers;
- support tools.
Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
27. Intellectual Property
Typen, including its software, design, branding, themes, platform, APIs, Cleo, and related features, is owned by Typen, Soon..., or our licensors.
You may not:
- copy Typen;
- reverse-engineer the Service;
- scrape or extract platform data;
- resell access to Typen;
- clone Typen features;
- remove proprietary notices;
- misuse Typen branding;
- use our intellectual property without permission.
Using Typen does not give you ownership of our intellectual property.
28. Feedback
If you send us feedback, ideas, suggestions, bug reports, or feature requests, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment to you.
We may use feedback to improve Typen, Cleo, pricing, APIs, themes, analytics, or other features.
29. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, security, and reliability.
We do not guarantee that:
- Typen will meet your needs;
- Cleo output will be accurate;
- analytics will be complete;
- the Service will be uninterrupted;
- bugs will be fixed immediately;
- content will never be lost;
- every feature will remain available.
30. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Typen and Soon... will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.
This includes damages for:
- lost profits;
- lost revenue;
- lost data;
- lost content;
- lost goodwill;
- business interruption;
- security incidents;
- third-party services;
- Cleo output;
- analytics errors;
- unavailable features.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to Typen in the 12 months before the claim arose.
If you paid nothing, our total liability is limited to €50, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
31. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Typen, Soon..., and our team from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from:
- your use of Typen;
- your content;
- your blog;
- your custom domain;
- your Cleo configuration;
- your API usage;
- your violation of these Terms;
- your violation of law;
- your infringement of third-party rights.
32. Changes to the Service
We may update, modify, rename, limit, or discontinue parts of Typen at any time.
This may include changes to:
- Free features;
- Pro features;
- Cleo;
- monthly Cleo balance;
- themes;
- analytics;
- APIs;
- pricing;
- branding;
- supported integrations.
Where required, we will give notice of material changes.
33. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If changes are material, we may notify you by email, dashboard notice, website notice, or another reasonable method.
The updated Terms will apply from the effective date shown.
Your continued use of Typen after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
34. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict of law rules.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes relating to these Terms or the Service will be handled by the competent courts of Hungary.
